Guatemala’s men got their CAC games qualifier off to a winning start blanking Panama 6-nil. Agustin Depaz grabbed the tournament’s second hat-trick to lead the Guatemalans scoring rout. Depaz opened in the sixth minute, from a fantastic team build up that he slotted home to the right of the goalkeeper Aldahir Ornano. The Panamanians never looked threatening and failed to contain the attacking prowess of the Guatemalans as they went two nil down in the 13th minute strike from Adrian Medina. Jorge Ramirez made the score three nil two minutes after the half time break. Depaz picked up his second goal in the 37th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 46th minute.
The other scorer Leonidas Levia who converted a penalty stroke in the 38th minute after goalkeeper Aldahir Ornano deliberately fouled the Guatemalan forward.
Panama is suffering their second consecutive six nil defeat after losing to host Jamaica on Sunday
The Guatemalans will next be in action against Guyana on Wednesday at 2:30, while will Panama will play Puerto Rico also on Wednesday at 4:30.
